Frankfurt's most famous son, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, perhaps said it best. "Here I am myself. Here I am at home" in reference to the city on the Main river. Frankfurt is a city of contrasts and diversity. It's a melting pot of cultures, languages and lifestyles. Its imposing skyline, the busy train station and the hectic airport is what newcomers often first notice, but if you look more closely you will find quiet neighbourhoods, picturesque city parks and relaxed beer gardens. In short, Frankfurt is one of Europe's most liveable cities. To help you feel more at home in your new home, we have established the International Stammtisch – Meet & Mingle in Mainhattan.
We invite all Newcomers to an After-work Party at the Frankfurt School of Finance and "on tour" at alternating locations. Each month, the International Stammtisch welcomes you to an informative, interesting and above all international evening. We will present the best the city has to offer, whether its museums, culture, music, international clubs…There will be a snack bar with drinks and light refreshments for purchase and a friendly atmosphere.
International Stammtisch is an initiative of the city of Frankfurt, the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce, the Frankfurt School of Finance, Frankfurt International School, ISF Internationale Schule Frankfurt-Rhein-Main, Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft e.V., the English Theatre and Newcomers-Network.de.
It's free of charge, but prior registration is required. To register for the events, please click here.
(Those who come without registering ahead of time will be charged 5 Euro at the door)
Events take place at Frankfurt School of Finance, and also "on tour" at alternating locations.

About this Event
Join us for an interesting talk and presentation by Dr. Caroline Eva Gerner, Project Leader for Innovation- and Sustainability - Projects at HA Hessen Agentur GmbH.
There is so much to see in the State of Hesse! We are inviting you for a quick journey through the rich cultural heritage belonging to the State of Hesse. Maybe you have already visited some of those sites, for example the Roman castellum called „Römerkastell Saalburg“ or the Niederwald Monument, towering above the Rhine river.
Dr. Caroline Gerner will be talking about Hesse:
Hesse offers a vast variety of cultural sites, museums, palaces, cloisters, castles, gardens, and parks. The sites cover every century between the prehistoric and the present times, they invite you to a journey across time and borders. The Celtic heritage, i.e., is presented in the „Keltenwelt am Glauberg“, not far away from Frankfurt. One of the largest museums in Europe is situated in Darmstadt, the „Hessische Landesmuseum Darmstadt“. But in the capital of Hesse, Wiesbaden, the „Museum Wiesbaden“ is equally worth while visiting. And in the northern part, the „Museumslandschaft Hessen Kassel“ spans a wide range of museums, castles and gardens. Even more sites, equally fascinating, belong to the „Schlösser und Gärten Hessen“, like Lorsch Abbey, UNESCO-site and founded in the time of Charlemagne. Many kings, princesses and landgraves have left their mark in our region. Palaces entice you with splendid interiors and idyllic gardens, castles offer spectacular views, and spacious parks are favourite places for enjoyable strolls.
